"I use plastic bags to store things that need to keep air out, like cheese, in the refrigerator. I also use them in the freezer when I buy a large package of meat or poultry, so I can freeze it all and be able to select just 1 or 2 to cook.
In regard to the previous poster, I can't imagine he/she has absolutely NO plastic in their home. Instead of blustering about us having plastic, how about thanking those of us who DO faithfully wash our used bage in out dishwater after the dishes are done.[ important points: no bags wasted, but washed and re-used, AND no dishwasher.
